Short Courses

We are pleased to announce a new twist on our Enrichment Courses — Short Courses!

We plan to offer various topical Short Courses anywhere from four to ten weeks long, at different times and locations throughout the year. These Short Courses will be lecture-based, with no required outside reading or homework. Some Short Courses will even be live-streamed, so students will be able to watch lectures on their own personal device anywhere, anytime — even from home or from around the world!

Please check back often to see what new Short Courses will be offered next!

January - March 2020 Short Course: "Church Divided: The History and Theology of the Reformation"

Registration for this eight-week Short Course is now closed.  The course, taught by Dr. R. Jared Staudt, Director of Formation at the Archdiocese of Denver, has already begun and was offered as a live lecture series only. Read the brief course introduction below:

The Reformation stands as one of the most significant events in the history of the Church and Western civilization. It ended the medieval culture of Christendom, initiated a more individual understanding of religion, and began the West’s descent into secularism. This course will examine the key figures and events of the Reformation, as well as the theology behind it. We will see how this theology continues to shape debates and how the West still lives in the cultural shadow of the civil war of Christendom.
