2020 Lenten Retreat: “Perfection and the Will of God,” presented by Mr. Daniel Campbell
-Saturday, February 29 @ St. John Vianney Theological Seminary
St. Alphonsus Liguori wrote of the will of God that,
“Perfection is founded entirely on the love of God: ‘Charity is the bond of perfection;’ and perfect love of God means the complete union of our will with God’s. ‘The principal effect of love is so to united the wills of those who love each other as to make them will the same things. It follows then, that the more one unites his will with the Divine will, the greater will be his love of God.'”
Although doing God’s will is what we desire, we often struggle to find the unity of will with God that St. Alphonsus Liguori spoke about. Join us, then, as we discuss what God’s plan is for us and how to discern His will!
